I know we just had a disco thread, but what about the more recent stuff? Been groovin' to these in my cubicle lately, what are some of your favorites?

Metro Area - Fabric 43

Lindstrom

Hatchback / Windsurf / Sorcerer (a lot of free tracks and mixes on his Soundcloud site)

Quiet Village - Silent Movie

Italians Do it Better (Desire, After Dark Comp.)

Prins Thomas is going to have his first solo album soon.

The newish Sorcerer album Neon Leon is very slept on.

Check out the Continental Drift album by Max Essa. He just did a nice Sorcerer remix too.

Blackbelt Andersen's album from a year ago or so was cool - kind of disco with Detroit techno thrown in.

Professor Genius has some cool tracks and a CD a couple years ago.

The Harlyn Bay album by Coyote is worth checking out.

The new Lindstrom & Christabelle is getting lots of good reviews.

Also check CFCF - Continent.

A lot of these you can stream on lala.com for your cubicle-listening pleasure. :cisfor:

i've been addicted to all things cosmic for the past two years; here's a mix i made back in '08 trying to emulate the old sound with new productions. Then I made a more.... tropical one last year .

I've been downloading/buying far too many old records to keep up with the newest productions; but I think the 3 Milky Disco Compilations on LO Records are a good primer for this scene too.

there's something profoundly sad about the idea of "groovin" in your cubicle

come on man, seriously. Sure you want to make a statement about the horrors of modern working life and probably didn't mean to cause offence. But still groovin' is down, where ever it's fown.

I just joined up here tell you thank you. Both of these albums are amazing and I am also loving the newer Essa album "White Shoes Blue Dreams". Looking into your other suggestions probably will love them as well.

Now that I am here I will enjoy my stay.

Yeah that post was from like a year ago. Lots of good albums since then - hard to keep up. I've enjoyed the Mighty Mouse "Song With No Word" album lately, and also Filipsson and Lindblad's "Splendor in the Grass."
