Green Calx Robocop Sample

Is it just a nice sound that teh afx liked? Or, is there some sort of symbolism going on? A clunky robot trying to complete a physical maneuver requiring a certain degree of elegance and grace... might this be analagous to churning such a noise into a song?

^Listening now, I think you may be right. At the very least they were probably using similar synth patches to get that sound.

That noise makes such a great sample. I almost wish RDJ hadn't sampled it so I could sample it without coming off like someone imitating him two decades later.

there are lots of great samples in robocop that no one has used.

In that case I'm going to have to watch Robocop.
