When I investigate an artist for the first time I usually start with their first release and work my way up chronologically. Thought I'd try something different and ask around to see what the general consensus was regarding their strongest release or what might be the best representation of their sound.

I was checking out what appears to be their latest "The Album" on Rephlex.com

How would you say this album, as their most recent output, stacks up against their previous work?

Previous to now all I've ever heard was Diagram VII (80's mix) on Braindance Coincidence.

i didn't like it as much as eksel

I'm with troon. Of the ones I've heard, Eksel is my favorite. The Album is good but not quite as good, and I feel it drags on a bit. I didn't care for Shipwreck much really, but I should probably listen to it more than 2 times. I haven't heard Broken Toys Corner or any EPs.

broken toys corner is very good but i like Eksel even more. i think its their best so far.
