i love how nowadays people have such a strong opinion on things that they didn't even knew existed before being told about it.

that said, don't have high hopes for this, but i am not going to judge it before, you know, seeing the whole movie.

Im quite optimistic about this. I watched the 2 minute sneak peak and thought it was quite good. I get tired of people trying to compare sequels to previous ones. This for example is never gonna be as good as the original with king arnie. So lets not compare it with that. I know its a long shot but it would be awesome if arnie had a cameo as dutch at the beginning. As long as its a violent action packed film then i'll be happy.

I'd say alot can be, fairly, gauged by knowing director/writer/actors/story etc. without having watched the film. Also going by what other films the director has worked on.

I don't mind a movie like this (might prove to be an interesting expansion on the backstory of the Predators), but what bothered me is that "preview" used so much from the first film (sounds effects, voice dialogue clips, etc.) as if they couldn't use enough original assets for the preview to make it stand on it's own - unless they were going for the "fan buy-in" by including stuff from the first film that fans would obviously get a fan-boner off of.

Also, is that guy in the clips the guy from the first film who died? (Richard Chaves) - actually, in looking on IMDB, it turns out to be Adrian Brody - funny that he looks like Richard Chaves did in the first film...

it's another one of those imported euro directors the studios bring over here to do shitty horror movies and basically ruin them in the process. I think the only one that survived this transition was the dude who made High Tension.

the alien planet looks rather normal & tame, i would be able to take that setting more seriously, the one that looks like a back lot of a fake jungle if it was supposed to be like a virtual hunting grounds on a PRedator's spaceship, but as the planet itself i find it completely and totally unbelievable.
