Tonight I walked to the 24 hour McDonalds at 4:30am with this track playing full blast and I realized that this is probably my favorite AFX track of all time. The way the whole track pans out at the 3:30 mark is the most amazing thing ever, the way squelchy distorted hits some how flawlessly mix with the rest of the track is so fucking genius that Richard must have flipped the fuck out when he finally put it all together.

I'm probably going to spend $50 on the gatefold ep just to get my hands on this shit.

it's quite good.

I use it as a sort of representative track with people who've only heard Come to Daddy. It covers most of the major Aphex tropes, I think - simple, reverbed out synth lines that slowly get layered on top of each other, loud distorted beats, vocals/nature sounds buried way back in the mix, and a crazy music video.

The Rain , The Flute .. Everything about this track is amazing.

The EP is glorious too , 73-Yips feels like you just parachuted off an airplane while snoring a line of cocaine , and smoking some PCP+Meth

D-Scape feels like some kind of Chinese movie fight scene

and Xepha feels like an Ancient Elephant battle.

73 Yips is underrated....IMO one of his best tracks of all time.....I listen to that one more than On itself these days.
