So there was a joyful dull thud on the doormat this morning as Oversteps in it's physical CD form landed. There was also a letter from the taxman so a bittersweet delivery from the postie. Anyway, as I carefully open the package from Bleep it appears all is not well and as I open the folds on the digipack the disc drops straight into my hands as the plastic holder is not capable of holding a fart, smashed to smitherooooons. Oh nice!

Bleep have been notified and I await a response but not sure what they'll do, fingers crossed for a replacement.

That aside, saw AE in the Leeds the other night and they absolutely smashed it! I've seen them seven times now and this is probably their best set for me. That combined with St Patricks Day meant there was big grins all round :)

Awwww that sucks. Little things like that can ruin your day. It's like, sure you know there's much bigger problems in the world and in your life, but you were so looking forward to just hearing that album as a bit of respite and then...it's BROKEN!

Aye, for sure there's more important stuff to think about but packaging is important business! :fear: Let's hope no-one else suffers the same. As for ruining my day, nah, still buzzing about Wednesday's gig so all's well with the world!

Warp / Bleep will take care of you and send you a new one. At least in my experience they've been good about it.

I figured as much, after buying direct from Warp for a good 12 years, I've never had a problem with 'em so it's not a bad track record. Anyway, still nice to get the physical copy in me filthy mitts.

the second bonus disc of my extra-special metal-sleeved quaristice came with a blob of packaging glue dribbled across it, making it unreadable and uncleanable. I was broken-hearted but never bothered to send it all the way back to the uk. Haven't bought from warp since.

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

Oooo, glue on Quari disc 2, that really sucks! On a lighter note, Bleep emailed me back and another Oversteps is on it's way, no questions asked so fair play to 'em on that. The biggest surprise of all was the wife asking if she could have the broken case one to have in her car! :emotawesomepm9:

dude just use another case, seriously. no point hassling bleep unless it's not a jewel case.

Dude, it's not a jewel case, if it was I wouldn't waste my time (or theirs). It's a cardboard digipack with plastic disc holder glued in so what I'm left with is a long piece of cardboard with smashed plastic hanging for dear life by the glue on one end, not pretty and far from useful.
