thief
been a while since i've listened to it, but I remember one part where his friends are talking about richy boy playing some game. and then some other guy makes a weird noise, like a car speeding past you or something. Cryptowen
Not sure. I'm guessing at one point Richard was doing a lot of field recording, so he probably had tons of tapes of miscellaneous conversation that he sampled into songs whenever he felt like it. Although in some cases (like the last track of the first disk of SAW II), I think the recordings were actually taken in the studio while he was working on the song in question. Very meta. Boxing Day
I am sure at one pint one of the voices says " I'm from THA" ( or " I've met THA") or ( I'm going to meet Tha") Edited March 19, 2010 by Boxing Day Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide Boxing Day's signature Hide all signatures I HOPE THIS MATCH NEVER ENDS - Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/54491-voices-on-tha/#findComment-1274242 Share on other sites

Guest Aces
Sounds to me like they were recorded at a train station. I'm pretty sure you can here someone asking whether there are any trains at some point. I always wondered too but if you listen to the remastered SAW 1 you can hear them a bit clearer. Guest hahathhat
the voices sound rather matter-of-factly to me Reveal hidden contents casual, spoken with authority, confidence in the words being announced.... other than that i dunno. there seems to be a question asked before it really gets into that feeling, but i'm not sure how much of it is in the track. True, I always think it sounds like a group of mates chatting, but there is definitely some conversation about trains at some point :p Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide CalumVaughan's signature Hide all signatures My Last.fm Page Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/54491-voices-on-tha/#findComment-1274648 Share on other sites
beerwolf
This might sound odd but I quite like the fact that I don't know what the voices say. I have never tried to work it out or listen too closely. I like the mystery of it. To me they sound like echoing ghosts.
