Recommended Posts

been a while since i've listened to it, but I remember one part where his friends are talking about richy boy playing some game. and then some other guy makes a weird noise, like a car speeding past you or something.

Not sure. I'm guessing at one point Richard was doing a lot of field recording, so he probably had tons of tapes of miscellaneous conversation that he sampled into songs whenever he felt like it. Although in some cases (like the last track of the first disk of SAW II), I think the recordings were actually taken in the studio while he was working on the song in question. Very meta.

I am sure at one pint one of the voices says " I'm from THA" ( or " I've met THA") or ( I'm going to meet Tha")

yeah there is definitely some train station-like announcement, could be multiple samples though. who knows? adds to the wonderful mystery.

True, I always think it sounds like a group of mates chatting, but there is definitely some conversation about trains at some point :p

This might sound odd but I quite like the fact that I don't know what the voices say. I have never tried to work it out or listen too closely. I like the mystery of it. To me they sound like echoing ghosts.
