Guest analogue wings
Modey is right, this is the one here... http://www.amazon.co.uk/RC20XL-TWIN-PEDAL-PHRASE-RE/dp/B000S5KY1W all the hipster tryhard indie bands in NZ seem to be using Boss DR Samples for "textures" at the moment. Fucking annoying cos I wanted one for just triggering one-shots and the hipsters have inflated the hell out of the prices Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/54495-looper/#findComment-1274459 Share on other sites

Guest Glass Plate
Electro Harmonix 2880 is in fact the best. And there's a professional beat boxer who uses it now. (too lazy to get the youtube links, but he used to be in the first page of results when looking for the harmonix 2880 ) Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/54495-looper/#findComment-1278147 Share on other sites
Guest thingfish
I used the ol' Boomerang for a while. Sounds shit but was probably the cleanest looper, as far as not having to stomp the thing like you're killing a turtle in order to get a clean loop... It's buttons have the smallest profile of any out there (that I know of), which I grew to really like on account of minimal force needed to set a loop .... I also used a Line 6 Tape DL4, which was decent enough. Higher button profile, but if you sort of hovered over the loop start switch, just enough to depress it's spring-loaded mechanism, you could establish a clean loop with minimal effort. Or, you can just stomp it to death. Which led to mine breaking after a year or so of abuse... Now I have the Boss RC-20XL, which is decent.. but cumbersome, in terms of it being an industrial spring-loaded stomp box that takes some getting used to, as far as kicking in a clean loop. I would really want to go the software route. Jamie Lidell uses a custom patch in Max/MSP, and the few times I've seen him, it's a pretty robust and effective method. Sadly ... it's a hefty DIY project. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1oAkvH8TtU Tim Exile of course, does his thing in Reaktor: (more DIY headaches) http://www.native-instruments.com/en/media-center/?content=989 Back to more standard approaches, there's Camille, who's pretty unique in her musical stylings and beatboxing: (not sure what she uses though, looks like a Korg MS1) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lObVFcyW2iM Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/54495-looper/#findComment-1286035 Share on other sites

Ive tried some simpler live loopers that worked well but for a lot of reasons zone mobius is definitely gonna be what im gonna learn when im getting ready to loop on stage. check it out.
