I just bought it.

They could have picked a tackier car for the purpose of this ad, I think. Not like the car is awesome, but it's definitely not "utterly tacky" IMO. Sure the stripe is unnecessary for such a car, but it's cleanly done and other than that, it's a nice set of sporty, non-tacky wheels and a sport suspension.

Maybe he's poking more fun at the type of car itself, maybe it's a stereotypical car for drug dealers or something, and I'm unaware since it's a UK thing.

In my opinion, By playing it modest the ad was more effective than if he had gone all out with a camino or something...

It's like the comic genius of Bill Murray vs the over the top slapstick of Jim Carry, understand what I'm saying?
