Guest ataraxy2
I have never noticed these before, and I listen to Ipacial Section a lot. Starts at 2:35. Higher than 17kHz. Hell it goes throughout the whole song since that point and I have NEVER noticed it. EVER. Another one kicks in at 5:02. It's actually really fucking amazing just how much shit is going on in this track. jules
Top 5 track for me. xyrofen
This section is so ipacial (ipacial) That girl when I see you I go all special (SPECIAL) Anyway, yeah, Ae uses high frequencies a lot. The one in Ipacial Section doesn't hurt at all, which is a nice change. This is probably my favorite track off of Untilted. Lianne
Yes, this is possibly my favorite track off an already great album. It stunned me from when I first heard it, and it hasn't got boring since. So much going on, so many surprising shifts, and does anyone else find moments of it really funny!? YES. 3:29, the cute little synth that just repeats itself like "oh no what's going on? :innocent-worried face:" Then the garbled voices later in the track. It's a glimpse of Fermium before Fermium actually plays. Augmatic Disport also has that grove at 2:44 and then 6:40 which is fantastic... Untilted is an album filled with pure joy - their most playful album. Obviously The Trees is an exception to what I've said above (as it may very well be their darkest track), but I love it all the same. Guest theSun
the trees is their darkest track? i always thought it was at least mildly playful with that silly acid line in the back. ipacial section is like the kind of music i wish more electronica was. there's multiple groovy sections, morphing into each other unpredictably. one of their most creative and inspiring tracks for me. when i first heard it i thought it was the funniest thing ever. i love the high freq chords they use, i think it's just fifths but fuck it sounds so good. six
One of their few tracks that has never clicked with me unfortunately. Guest Randolph Carter
Finally this track is getting some long overdue recognition. When Untilted first came out everyone had a hard-on for Pro Radii which I always thought (and still do) pales in comparison to Ipacial Section. This is my fave off this release by far. The buildup to 3:22 is just awesome then it changes the whole direction of the track and you realize that was one big intro to the "meat" of the song. The use of the very high frequencies in this track is quite amazing, it really unifies the song, it would be interesting to hear the track without them in it.
