picked up an old copy of time magazine and had to scan this advertisement

tried finding information about this company and why they put out ads like this but found nothing.

Yeah, not seeing a connection to their product there... Odd!

looking that up on wikipedia showed:

i would guess that this Champion Int. Corp. was getting into the business of record-keeping solutions and/or dealing personal information.
