Guest El_Chemso
I need a new pair of ear defenders as my current ones are good enough to protect me from the noise of the powertools that I'm using. I'd quite like one of those ones with FM radio too, but more than that it would be cool if I could plug my ipod into it as currently I have to turn off what I'm listening too and put my ear defenders on. Can be a bummer. Recommend me some WATMM? Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/54696-i-need-some-headphonesear-defenders/ Share on other sites
Joyrex
I'm beginning to think a "headphones" thread pinned to the top might be in order, because we seem to have these threads at least once a month, if not more frequently... Guest El_Chemso
Ahh but Mr Rex, you've not read it properly, I don't want headphones as such, I was just wondering if our music loving UK Watmmer members (as the US has stuff that doesn't seem to sell here) used any hear protection when working with loud tools that had a built in 3.5mm jack capability that they could recommend to me. Seem to be a few on the market but quite expensive, an I have no idea if they are any good. Guest El_Chemso
No parody dog! You americans make this: http://lumberjocks.com/reviews/793 Which seems ideal, but there isn't a UK equivalent that I can find. They are about £60 it seems. Thanks Al Hounos! Guest Al Hounos
yeah, i have some and they are also great for just listening on subways, buses... can't hear anything but the music! i've seen detailed reviews somewhere that have exact sound isolation measurements if that matters to you. Guest El_Chemso
If you could find them that would be cool. I went for a job medical yesterday, and in the last 3 years since I had one I have lost the 6hz hearing channel. I put this down to powertool use. The nurse said I need hearing protection that brings the noise down to 80db so would be good to read what they do.
