Got a free Xbox 360

I don't really follow consoles and I found out that games are $70, that's fucking outrageous

so I'll probably be renting games or borrowing them

oh and don't bother mentioning FPS games because I can't play them with a controller

I played Fallout 3 on PS3, It was OK but I couldn't see myself playing for more than a day

I'm considering Arkham Asylum as it's come down in price. It received excellent reviews across the board, and I'm a Batman fan so it's strange that I waited so long.

I only really play GTA4 on my Xbox. I don't have the disposable income to take punts on games.

would recommend arkham asylum, stunning looking game and very satisfying to play

as for fallout 3 - i didnt stop playing it for 6 months

Yeah, Fallout 3 was great for a while (2-4 months). But I frequently lose interest on my second time through.

Batman would have been good if it lended itself to some exploration. with "bat vision" it tells you everything little detail about the room you're in and where to go and what to do. Besides, only being able to use your grappling hook on gargoyles, so much potential. I quit halfway through.

360 is really only for xboxlive (and a handful of exclusives.. halo, gears of war and mainly forza 3). If you're not interested in any of that just stick with your ps3.

assassin's creed 2 is only $30 on amazon right now. same with batman.

Arkham Asylum is only £20 on play.com for anyone in Britain.

why did you take it apart? was it originally broken? depends on the year it was made, Ive never modded a 360 but I know some can be soft modded and some have to be hard modded with a chip you can order for really cheap and solder on.

im thinkin of modding my 360 as im with you and dont wanna play fps's, rts and quite a few other games with a controller, inferior graphics and limited ability amongst other things (alt tab while in a lobby and look @ watmm)((multiplayer pc gaming is rad for so many reasons, so glad I got quite a few friends to not play on xbox live anymore))

yeah good call.. just get nhl10 you dont need the others nhl10 surpasses 08 and 09

im well into my sports games, the only games i play are fifa10, bfbc2 and nhl10 & the orange box there is no need for anything else.

I was trying to flash the firmware but it wasn't comparable with the PC I was using and a slew of other issues made me give up on it

What a piece of garbage

It ran fine for a day, the next day it crashed twice but I was able to play it most of the day (Mass Effect 2) with no problems.

Now it's crashing constantly

Also, I was trying to sync it up with my Media Center so I can watch the videos on my computer but it requires and update to play certain files so I try to sign up for Xbox Live and it wont let me log in because I have something called a gamertag linked to another account? I never made an account.

Also, this fucking controller has got to be the worst, the Down on the Dpad works maybe 70% of the time (this is a brand new controller out of the box) and the start button with way too close to the x button

ive had my xbox for like 2.1/2 years and everything apart from a broken usb port works fine.. the controllers is the most comfy piece of lush ive ever played a game with.

you arnt gonna get the most out of the xbox if you play it offline. that is all.
