J Dilla

I am a huge fan of FlyLo, and I heard a lot of talk of J Dilla and I am wondering if he is worth listening to and if so what album to start with? Its instrumental hip hop right? I love FlyLo and I want to get into something similar as well. I heard some snipips of Donut Shop but thats not coming out yet for a while.

Dilla is fuckin amazing...if you want some good inturmentals, start with donuts...then go with Jay Love Japan and The Shining....was one of the best hip hop producers IMO

I don't think so, Dilla was always rapping about getting money, women, and chains'n'all that. Madlib's raps weren't really that gangsta though, compared to Dilla's

Jay Stay Paid is good. I found Donuts to be a tough intro to Dilla .. it's a very weird album.
