what words are you offended by?

most people find cunt offensive but i don't know why, it's an awesome word. i also find it hilarious how fag is really offensive in Canada lol

what words offend you? non-English words and racial slurs preferable

I used to call everyone I disliked a "fascist" before. Now I am at a step further since I call every one "pédé" which is a very offensive way of saying "gay" in french (the roots of the word is Pederasty). Of course no matter the man is gay or not.

Nothing really but I feel quite strongly about the casual usage of n**** by white people, although I'm not personally offended I think it is careless. Same applies to other racial slurs people seem to think are okay but aren't really.

Its not the words that offend me personally Its the casual way they are used I think.

Theres only one thing that someone could aim at me that would really offend me but Im hardly likely to mention it on a public forum.

I swear a lot as it is, so I'm fairly open to these things.

But I'm always irked by anything racist. If someone around my age uses the word 'nigger' (etc) I'll speak up because they should know better. Sometimes I'll let it slide in a joke-context, but that's rare and completely dependent on the situation and joke.

My last boss was about 60 and used to drop in little racist remarks every so often. But I had to let that slide because it's too late for him and he'll hopefully die soon. Probably treated in a hospital by a Paki doctor, an Ethiopian nurse and being fed by a Polish chef.

personally I'm not offended by anything, if I were i don't think i would have lasted long as mod here (which I'm sure would have suited some of the posters here just fine).

I dislike racist slurs being thrown around, and yes, the casual use of the word "nigga" is quite offensive. Like Murs said "when you front and use the N word, it just don't help

I do not promote real racism at all and really wish the stereotypes they refer to would stop encouraging it but I disagree that the casual usage of racial slurs is by definition wrong. It all depends on the person and the context in which they are saying it.

An intelligent adult can realize calling someone teh gayz, a fag, a jew, a nigger, a cracker, a zipper head, a wetback etc. has different tiers of meanings like any words based on the context in which they are said. if they are used as a jokeful diss without any serious implications:Those words carry less actual substance with every time someone uses them in a dumb everyday just giving you shit manner. they can even be used in a celebratory manner without any context at all like saying the word fuck.

Words can lose their once power of negativity when used in nearly positive joking circumstances, the only way to get rid of real racism, sexism, homophobia for future generations is to make the whole idea seem as ridiculously stupid as possible.

Except when you use them as a "jokeful diss" you are then categorizing and giving a hierarchical structure to people. The use of language has real consequences.

hahaha yeh. I guess I also see those words as motivation for all humans to not promote stereotypes by not being a stereotype. I've talked to gay and black people who hate when their peers completely promote a stereotype by being a living breathing stereotype in the most exaggerated way possible. Caucasians not wanting to be a white trash meth using piece of shit etc.

those words have nothing to do with race or sexual preference to me, its about living breathing stereotypes that promote bigotry and should make a better example of themselves. All of us humans need to evolve and be better people and we need motivation to do that.
