Charles Mingus' stuff has always impressed the shit outta me. His posthumously recorded Epitaph is utterly stunning but as far as albums he recorded during his lifetime goes I think Black Saint and the Sinner Lady takes the cake.

yeah, black saint and the sinner lady is one of those albums that you will obsess over and listen to for the rest of your life.

Ornette Coleman, is a must.
