just made this today.....my friend sent me the bassline via interweb for a drum/synth loop i gave him from the soon-to-be-made tune....now its made....for your listening pleasure

i like what's going on, but the drums sounds really muffled, and that taints. the bass also, sounds liked you've equed out all the treble... the spazzy owaoaoaowaoaoa sound is maybe too high in the mix. i would say this is maybe to aggressively equed, it sounds just a bit strange in places.

what you have here has promise, for sure - needs more around the midrange, possibly more elements, and maybe another more trebly layer for the drums. it's groovy though mate, nice bass line and excellent main synth line.

just updated the mix.....re-eq'd some stuff and fx'd a little more...

(edit) the random crackles that come in have something to due with the site i loaded it on....they arent intentional....

yeah, this is defo better already, just more definition on the snare really lifts it and the mix is much less muddy. maybe consider a subtle continuous pad to tie it all together... güd sturf.

I think its okay man. Not mind blowing but yeah its pretty okay man. Bassline is nice. Has a nice sort of hip hop jazzy flavour going down. I think the problem is the beats sound a bit mid rangy. Its funny this is the 2nd time I've heard this and I'm certainly more receptive to it now. I seem to recall the first time I heard it not being massively blown away. But am feeling it more tonight. I feel it could do maybe with some more elements but as it stands I'm digging the vibe. It is late at night so that might be effecting my judgement but yeah not bad. On listen number 3 now. Yeah I could hear this sitting nicely within a record definitely. I heard it on headphones first time so maybe hearing it on speakers is better. Yeah really enjoying it come listen number 3! 7.5/10

I like this track, but it needs to be mixed better.
