Sites for building electronic music gear

Hey guys, I have a great site for buying knobs and such but it is over in Germany. Anyone have a good recommendation for this sort of thing in the US? I know mouser, digikey, and etc. But those aren't really application specific sites. Check out http://www.musikding.de/ to see what I mean. A lot of these huge suppliers have sites that are really difficult to navigate and are missing a lot of pictures. Much appreciated.
