Wonderment

Wouldn't it be the most striking and shocking experience to see ones self for the first time in the mirror, to have an outside perspective just for once where all familiarities are wiped and you are left with a blank, clean mind to see oneself. A living creature, you, that you have never seen before, an outside perspective that most people never have.

I've tried to do this, to stare at another humans face in a picture and try to catch a glimpse of something that is so familiar yet alien, attempting to capture the surface underneath that is tucked away by the experience and memories I have.

If you don't get the point of my post, then you haven't thought about it long enough. Take a step back, look at a person in a picture and stare at their face - now try and see if you can experience it for the first time. I want to capture that moment of, jesus christ what a fucking peculiar looking creature.

have you heard of that art installation, it's sort of a cabin made from wood, with a toilet inside. And from inside the toilet there leads a system of mirrors around the cabin and projects a view of the toilet user's anus right in front of the toilet user. it is amazing.

strange very strange. last week, i saw my older cousin again for the first time in like 6 years, i was pretty young when i last saw him, and he was like, my cool older cousin which i wanted to one day be like. so im spending time with him for a couple days...same old guy, funny as shit, always cool, all that good stuff....and then we all got high and drunk and he DJ'd for us in his basement, and the weirdest thing happened

i have seen this many times before, yet im absolutely flabbergasted every time it happens, and ive have spent the last 5 years trying to explain this concept to anyone, because its so insanely beyond words. its like, they flip inside out. what they used to try to disguise and keep hidden from view, becomes starkly naked to all, and everything they use as a cover, is now exposed as a complete fraud. and its insane, because everyone does it, so you can get high with someone, and they flip inside out, and so do you, and boy its quite the experience

does anyone have any idea what im talking about? if so please tell, because its driving me insaner

slightly different, but I sometimes try and look at words as if I'd never seen any form of written language before...,after a while you just see odd shapes grouped together in different combinations.

it's like drawing. Or better, the mode of vision when you're drawing. A distant, disconnected and neutral vision, where you only concentrate on lines and planes, lights and shadows, not what the actual subject is.
