Supposed 2010 BoC material leak

someone gave me a link, I won't post it here (I know the rules) but if you PM me...

the filename of the archive claims it is BoC material from 2010.. here are the track times

1) 5:11 (the background of this one reminds me of Oversteps)

2) 5:44

3) 5:15

4) 6:12

5) 6:33 (the most convincing of all of them has a bit in it that sounds like pre-existing BoC material)

imma say fake right now.

well, this is the best BoC fake I ever heard

track 3 and 4 are beautiful!

I don't like drums in track 1 and 5, I don't like the reverb (too digital)

and the track 2 needs more stereo image imo, and maybe is too bright/soft to be BoC-like.. anyway is pleasurable

Someone posted a zip or rar file on /b/ with something like BOC 2010 in the file name. This was in a thread discussing similar artists. Didn't download (because it's /b/, and anyone who knows that site knows not to download anything linked there), but now I'm a bit curious...

Found it. A simple google search will yield decent results if you know what you're looking for.

Hahaha...one of my all-time favourite gifs.

My impressions so far: sounds authentic, but it also sounds quite dated. I am guessing (and hoping) that these are b-sides from the Campfire era.

Also, at the end of track 4, it sounds like a sample was lifted from Telephasic Workshop (at around 4:17).

By the way, I have a different tracklisting than yours OP. Mine goes:

1 - 6:12

2 - 5:15

3 - 5:44

4 - 5:11

5 - 6:33

This is either dated back towards the Twoism era, or a really terrible attempt at a fake. I don't hear Campfire Headphase in it at all.

I have this same one, but it is titled "Boards of Canada - Warp 2010 Promo".

Probably fake, but I hold out hope!

Edit: Upon listening... I don't see this being BoC at all, it's not musical enough.

Never mind my PM request for this. Found it. Hope to god it's not BOC. This is horrible music.

The last track is okay.

everything else is like... Arovane-esque. Nothing I would expect from BoC.

Although I swear to god I've heard that sample that starts the fifth track before, so it leads me to believe that this is fake. (Not that I needed any other proof)

The 5th Track obviously samples the "Tramp"-Drumloop.

The fifth track is by Helios and is an awesome boc remix: Boards of Canada - opener (helios remix)

5 minutes of dissonant ambient drone ≠ boc. the whole thing (excluding the last track) was far too minimal and unfocused on melody to be the boards.

It's the new Altered Carbon EP for sure.
