Guest Laughable Butane Bob
Using MAX/MSP/Jitter, a webcam, a projector, and some placemats from my living room, I can play pong without a controller. It's a really simple concept, with very large implications. that's me in the video Edited April 14, 2010 by Laughable Butane Bob Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/55313-i-made-a-version-of-pong/ Share on other sites

Guest Laughable Butane Bob
It's actually a lot of fun. We're going to have this setup at our techno shows. I know this isn't 100% new technology, but I'm just really surprised at how simple it is to get working well. I'm trying to find more stuff like this, so thanks for posting that link phling, it is going to be really helpful... Guest
if i were you, i'd look into more good programming environments than Max if you're serious about programming. for vision: http://www.openframeworks.cc/gallery http://processing.org in the end you'll be happier learning one of these imo, as they're both "real" languages and extendable into C++/Java respectively. There are also tons of resources on the subjects of CV and especially object tracking, mainly stemming from the last years' multitouch hype. GIYF, and also this site: http://createdigitalmotion.com/2009/08/trick-out-your-ps3-eye-webcam-best-cam-for-vision-augmented-reality/ (yes the PS3 cam is actually awesome) Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/55313-i-made-a-version-of-pong/#findComment-1297396 Share on other sites
