soundwave
2600's are nice but more a collectors/fanatics icon for the money they fetch personally i don't like the upfront panel design as you get tired shoulders after a while but it does stay in tune and and is great for wild filter mod sounds, the ring mod is pretty tasty too Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/55372-fao-awepittance-hows-the-meanie/#findComment-1299427 Share on other sites

Previously i had only used emulations of it, the real thing is just so raw and amazing. The high frequency modulations it can do are unparalleled. The Arturia emulation comes pretty close for most things but not that insanely high pitched but pleasurable harmonic stuff the real thing i capable of. I've played with buchlas, ems, serge modulars and for me personally, the arp2600 takes the cake. One day i want to get the sequencer that was made for it but they are even rarer than the synth itself. edit: Quote What a nice addition to any analog setup, can be hard to get your head around at first but very flexible and creative tool for the studio.Must be one of the best hardware sequencers ever build and its common market value reflects its quality. They are rare, pricey but worth while the investment and "do great" sequencing you 2600 or other Arp. Once owned 2 at once, you can have one sequencer control your Arp synth and the other one controlling your 1st sequencer..WILD RESULTS. This Sequencer can even oscillate on its own when you crank up the speed...
