Ovuca was discovered through porn. A Finnish porn ended up on Rephlex's bus, and they dug the soundtrack, and so contacted Ovuca to send them stuff.

So he sends three demos credited to someone called Rachel Thompson. One was tape hiss, the second, record crackle, and the third, ground hum. And Grant was like "Anyone who sends this to a label HAS to be called up." When they call him, he is drunk and naked in the arctic circle, looking at the northern lights with AFX's AB3 blasting at full volume. Grant asks "Where are you?" He says "I'm in Lapland right now."
