hi guys, just thought i'd let y'all know there's a couple of live sets i did recently up on our website at www.ilovecubus.co.uk

you can get to the track listings via the above link.

the mp3's themselves are here:

a nice chilled 32-minute set, this one flows quite nicely

and

a less inspired set with a less coherent theme, a bit more mixed up...about 40 minutes long

enjoy.

Jazz Band   : http://forum.watmm.com/index.php?showtopic=5309

(sorry)

except you've got proper links to them, so people will probably actually download them this time as I just linked to the downloads page.

Actually, I'll lock my one. People can put comments in here instead.

Hmm, yeah that was a bit drunkenerly hypocritical of me last night (I can't actually remember typing that message) as I've not had the chance to listen to other people's fine tunes either.

Oooh, I didn't realise you could change the time zone on the message board to proper GMT's...

not too big on these live sets - good, but not spectacular in comparison to a lot of cubus stuff ive heard. i still feel that pathogenesis is one of the most undervalued and under promoted coherent releases from any ekt artist.

why you pair dont get that shit out as a CD release either under your own funds or get it signed and out is beyond me. It's magnificent.

Innard of Betamax aint bad too - though I only have a 128kbs version which is bunkum. Any links to a 192 or VBR?

post more new tunes.

cheers guys!

~ism, cheers for the comments.. i can't speak for pete but myself i haven't had time to work on any new choons in ages cos i've been overloaded with work the last few months. it should all clear up pretty soon though thankfully....

i'm not sure about pathogenesis cd2- i think pete would agree that there's some good tracks there but cd1's just more coherent.

we'd release some stuff if any labels fancied it. don't seem to get much interest tho

we put a 192 (or vbr i can't remember) version of 'innards' up on the retropublik server a while ago, but some sort of spring cleaning happened and it disappeared. will try to get it back up fairly soon.

i actually got into CD2 first if i recall...when we first got hold of it (mid 2004?)- gump had it stuck in his car player for most of the winter. definitely an outstanding album in there between the 2 cds thats for sure. Could certainly pick 70 minutes worth of prime material between them - Chosen Cubus you could call it.

keep up the good work whatever you do - and look forward to neu stuff.

Boo said the ghost! Yeah, It's been silly the amount of work that I've had to do over the last few months. I can't really remember the last time I had a chance on doing anything musically 'cos of the silly final year uni project work. I was planning on doing some stuff over the easter holidays but a stoopid 10,000 word project report has got in the way of that plan.

Yeah I reckon in about May or June-ish things should start happening again music wise. I really do miss doing stuff, and me and joe I think have been talking about doing a 'best-of' for quite a while now so hopefully that'll get done around June-ish.

Cheers for all the support people, the comments really make this stuff worthwhile. cubus ain't dead, just university has kind of put it in deep hibernation for the last few months for the both of us.
