Alzado
Just ran across this album and fuck it's great. Some pretty obvious Dilla influences and also a little reminiscent of the Avalanches' Since I Left You. But it's really well done. [youtubehd]i8inxj5Enrk[/youtubehd] I'd never heard of them before, but apparently they're French dudes with wicked sampler skills. patternoverlap
Interesting. The swingy beats remind me of Mike and Rich a bit. Guest blicero
hmmm. pretty basic stuff there. IMO, good sampling and beat construction is more than just sampling a few bars of a soul record, slicing on quarters, and rearranging the slices. also, not really feeling the sample material that much.
