I recently got a 10-hour shift Job , I survived the first because thanks to cocaine and Energy drinks.

But this week i have no money for any of those , so i am asking if you guys know of any OTC medications that can give me a mega boost.

P.S - My muscles hurt a lot , any Effective OTC painkillers you know of , please tell me.

Boxing Day, the best thing you can do is try to get a regular sleeping pattern and use caffeine sparingly; the more you caffeine up the more tired you feel when you aren't.

That said I used to do shifts like that at McDonalds years ago, was usually manageable but I would occasionally drink and do poppers for some reason, don't really recommend it.

i guess all i can say in that case is good luck—can't imagine how operating live gfx goes. wouldn't a lot of it be template-based lower thirds and whatnot anyway though? at least you aren't making everything from scratch, unless you are. in which case, see beginning of my post

Yeah, I have a feeling that when my sleeping pattern adjusts, and it'll probably happen quickly, that it'll be much easier.

I've quit smoking so I don't have that to stimulate me every hour or so, and I'm going to try to stay away from coffee. But I'll invest in some energy drinks, some glucose-pumped chocolate bars, and possibly some fruit.

It's largely templated, but I'm sure there are situations that call for fresh builds. I'm a little dazed by it still at the moment because I've never worked in this field before, but I'm sure I can pick it up. I'm guessing you do something similar?

Your muscles ache because of lactic acid in the muscle. All you can do is get used to the new regime.Try getting some glucosamine sulphate capsules and glucosamine gel .Other than that make sure you take plenty of sarnies and fluids to keep you going.Good luck, and stay away from charlie.

I used to work an 8PM -7AM shift... did it for about 3 months and never felt so miserable. I somehow managed to do it without caffeine or drugs. I did, however, watch a tremendous onslaught of B movies that require little no bran activity but entertained me and my work mate throughout the evenings.

Ten hours is only 2 hours more than normal. In the nicest possible way stop moaning and get on with it! :) Is it 5 days a week, or 4?

Guest lands end road

A big hearty meal and a coffee right before the shift usually does the trick for me. I just had a shift that was from 12am to 7pm and I have to say this was the first time I had energy from start to finish.

As these shifts only pop up on occasion for me, I would stick to my regular routine and have dinner around 7-8pm. This is definitely a big mistake as you will get hungry during your shift. Now I know better.

Just make sure to bring lots of water with you.

you want to do a shit load of slimming aid appetite suppressant type pills. i did a load of them with my mate once. they were called slim n trim and we nicked them off my mum who had got them in south africa. i dunno what was in them, but it was some kind of legal (in africa) amphetamine - we even cracked a few open and put them in a joint lol. i was fucking wired for about 14 hours.

or failing that, get a load of ephedrine off teh interwebs.

edit: thinking about it, the slim n trim pills probably had ephedrine in them - we did them years ago when i was a teenager and i just never thought about it until now.... i thought they had some kind of african voodoo shit in them.
