sad they dumped actual sprite animation, i wonder if Capcom will every go back to that?

yeh, i was kinda disappointed they didn't go with sprites this time 'round.

I think some of the notable remaining 2d fighting game makers is arc system works, who did the guilty gear series and blazblue, and snk playmore.

il probably end up playing it anyways, i gave SF4 a spin it was pretty good for a 3d redux of street fighter

i think the last great Capcom fighting game i played was Jo Jo's bizarre adventure, even though the animation wasn't as ridiculously smooth as Guilty Gear it was a lot more quirky

Umm yeah that is fuckin great news. That will kick all sorts of ass. The over the top style will look great with the sf4 style engine, lets just hope it plays like a VS game.

For the 2d fans there is Tatsunoko_vs_Capcom which is only on Wii for some reason.. I have been thinkin' about getting this.

I think the game will be AMAZING , BUT...I'm a little turned off by the MASSIVE cut of characters ( Marvel Vs Capcom 2 - 56 Characters , Marvel Vc Capcom 3 - 30 something ) Eh , it's a capcom fighting game , so they know what they're doing

that scene on my avatar was just priceless when i first saw it.

Trailer looks quite awful, not that I was expecting a 2d animation but damn, at least work on the cel-shading so it doesn't look so 90's.
