SAW2 Reversed

Ridiculously good. The ones I've heard so far really blew me away. They really do sound like music from another dimension. I even prefer some of them to their originals.

Definately worth a listen.

The 9 seconds of resonance form sounded excellent! Yeah reversed rhubarb is exquisite, astral-plane music. It's like some beautiful, bittersweet dream, or two lovers parting for life. I love that upward swell it has. It's amazing how simply reversing tracks can give you a sense of all the perfectly viable melodies that nobody has even considered.

‎"Tuesday, ‎December ‎23, ‎1997, ‏‎9:33:04 AM" It would have been Christmas break from my freshman year in college, my grannie had died on the 18th, Jesus---these external hard drives I have are just filled with memories that get more overwhelming as time goes on. Anyway, this was when I was first learning about audio fuckery and I did a fusion of a reversed "Rhubarb" with the percussive freak-out at the end of "Bucephalus Bouncing Ball" at half-speed. It's labeled "Klangwerks (Opiate Mix)". It's a true 90's file: 22,050 Hz Mono .wav incomplete without surface noise--I didn't even know about CD extraction programs, .mp3's were just coming to the surface--I ran a Discman in through the soundcard's line-in, hence the hissy, shitty quality. Apparently, at "Tuesday, ‎December ‎23, ‎1997, ‏‎12:16:00 PM" I put it with the "Pearl's Girl" break (that means I was fucking around on Goldwave for a minimum of almost 3 hours on Goldwave but I can tell you it was more than that). It's a badly truncated loop though. I'm not touching it though for great justice--it will be 13 goddamn years old this December. I called it "Resonance Form" because I had just finished organic chemistry unstoppable memory flood. Or how about "‎Tuesday, ‎February ‎20, ‎2001, ‏‎7:57:28 PM:" called "Beep Street" I was so fucking depressed back then...Jesus, no girl, in bed all the time, skipping class, 22 years old, losing focus on what I was gonna do but Tommy J was there just in time but I had to stop him mid-sentence and say "Beep Street at 0.70 for right now because my brain is going at .70" I'm gonna .rar all my .wav's and sendspace them for everyone--I would sit for hours and slow them down, loop them for days, reverse them, flange, remove stereo imaging, etc. They love you long time

I gonna listen to the whole album tonight, reversed.. Shuld I start backwards also? like from the last track on disc 2 to first track on disc 1?

^Pretty much. Most songs sound ethereal & mysterious when played backwards, even generic top 40 stuff.

They are Okay, I'll just stick to listening to them the normal way...

That's totally unfair! I'm sure most songs seem weird and like, backwards sounding but SAW2 I think is particularly unique when reversed. Maybe your just not open-minded enough to appreciate it, hmm? I know making the case for a reversed Aphex Twin album nearly amounts to heresy on this forum but seriously, it's well worth listening too...

That is a possibility, but keep in mind that I spent several years just listening to recordings of animals & industrial machinery before I even got into music, so...
