Guest tht tne
protection is really very similar to the classic model of a country song in some ways, anyone else get this feeling? like dolly parton could sing it or something, but obviously with a different, countrier arrangement & instrumentation Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/55624-my-opinion-on-a-massive-attack-song/ Share on other sites

Ragnar
I was in a thread on another forum and it was something like 'describe a band with a short story' I guess because they described massive attack as 'a man is trapped in a dark room surrounded by four walls and no way out and trying to break through with a sledgehammer while yelling at the top of his lungs. Meanwhile a couple blocks away, a man is getting beat up in a parking garage' they probably had Mezzanine/100th Window in mind Edited April 24, 2010 by Ragnar Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide Ragnar's signature Hide all signatures http://djsaint-hubert.bandcamp.com/ Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/55624-my-opinion-on-a-massive-attack-song/#findComment-1306469 Share on other sites

I'd say daydreaming is my favourite track of it, mainly because of tricky. you're right on... five man army is my favorite because of daddy g Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/55624-my-opinion-on-a-massive-attack-song/#findComment-1306561 Share on other sites
eh Speedy
Is Blue Lines the only good one, because Protection is the only good song on that record and Teardrop is the only good song on Mezzanine? that always killed me about Massive Attack records. only one good track and one other sorta ok track. don't have Blue Lines though, have the feeling that's more of a full album experience.
