I've read that before, but I'm sure it's some student film or something Beck made himself. I've actually been able to spot a good number of samples on Beck records in their original places (The Frogs in "Where It's At" and the whistling at the beginning of "Sissyneck" in an old kung fu movie) but I always considered Stereopathetic to be just him having fun with taperecorders.
