Two Cubase 5 Questions

1. Whenever I open the Mixer or the VST instruments windows, the main project window gets minimized and so does the midi editor, sometimes they even get out of screen.

So I have to go and “fullscreen” them each and every time after working with the mixer or the VST instruments or pretty much any other window I open.

I can’t recall this happening in previous versions of Cubase I’ve worked with.

Am I missing something? Is there a way so windows reserve their original position (not getting minimized) and everything simply opening over each other?

i.e main project window remaining maximized in the background whenever I open the mixer or VST window so it’s just there for me, full screen, when I’m done working with them?

2.I made the score for a video art project consisting of 5 different scenes, each having its own “theme song”. So it’s actually actually 5 different compositions in one project.

I want to additionally work in each and every one of them, developing them into full proper tracks, so naturally I want to treat them as 5 new projects.

Is there any way I can export EVERYTHING from a certain point in the timeline of a project to a new one? I wish I could just export the whole folder track of each “scene theme” but Cubase wont export folder tracks. I can only export midi and audio tracks but obviously that’s not what I want cause then vst instruments, their settings, automation and pretty much everything else doesn’t transfer to the new project so it’s pretty much useless. Any Ideas?

Edit: Concerning Question 2, I m aware of the "selected tracks" export ---------> "track archive" import to the new project but apart from the fuzz of having to get through each and every VST or any other track you have in a specific part of the timeline, it seems that you can't really export VST TRACKS but only INSTRUMENT TRACKS... Clever huh?
