man i totally had this idea (but with hard disks) a while ago, but things at my job picked up and i abandoned the project. this would be a pretty awesome thing to start up again..

wouldn't the much faster RPM on a hard drive make scratching etc. impractical?

My light bulb is dirty and my discs are faded and with the shity machinery inside I get more warble than BOC sometimes.
