Recommend me some new interesting industrial

Remember when industrial was about pushing the envelope musically, performance-wise? Anybody come across any exciting new artists these days? Most of my friends who listen to industrial listen to what is essentially rave music with the only real dividing factor being the use of 'scary' samples and goth imagery on the covers, thrown in alongside incredibly static and boring production that isn't a fraction as innovative as the stuff cevin key was doing oh 25 years ago

thanks so far, some new names to check out.... and yes, i'm a very big fan of coil+tg, no industrial collection is complete without them. i like cabaret voltaire up until the early 80s.. 2x45, johnny yesno... all delish!

I think this album got overlooked by a lot of people , listens and appreciate

Klinik (probably the best EBM act, and one of the first)

Fad Gadget (proto Depeche Mode mute records co-owner gothic synth pop stuff, very ahead of it's time)

Psychic TV (early selections like Dreams Less Sweet or Pagan Day)

Throbbing Gristle - A Journey Through a Body (their last album before they got back together in 2004)

Coil's earlier stuff falls into the category of industrial for me but the later period stuff reminds me more of Current 93 and pagan ballady stuff, that has linkages to industrial music as well i suppose.

I've heard that Esplendor Geometrico has some material that is simialr to Pansonic, Do you know what albums are like this?

I second Asmus Tietchens' Biotop release, really more like proto techno, and Fad Gadget is criminally overlooked.

similar to Pan Sonic, hmmm i'd say any of their stuff before 1985 (when they started using sampled drum machines) sounds very minimal very raw and very synthesis driven.

I'm personally in love with this record label called Vinyl on Demand, that puts out insanely large vinyl boxsets of old unreleased industrial music , the 4xLP Esplendor set they put out is phenomenal, as is the Severed Heads set called 'Adenoids'

i dont know, i think much of the later stuff is just as challenging as their earlier releases. there is indeed some current 93 like material, but releases like 'constant shallowness leads to evil', 'black antlers' and 'the new backwards' are just as "industrial" as their earlier stuff. plus their live material is very challenging to say the least...

the new backwards is fucking excellent, i think it's honestly because of the lack of Jhon on it that makes me like it so much. His vocals on later stuff im just not able to handle.

that track you posted up top has awesome backing sounds/music but the vocals ruin it for me. The 2 other tracks you posted i love though. My relationship with Coil is very complicated, as is my relationship with Psychic TV.

fair enough. his vocals initialy ruined it for me too, but after a while i just kind of started to key in to the whole unhinged vibe of it all. making the pyschedelic patterns out of his fucked up eye was a stroke of genius (the work of christopherson, no doubt). but that being said, there are some balance vocals on some later releases that i still have a hard time with (mostly the seasonal releases and musick part 2).. when hes 'on' hes brilliant, but when hes off its a bit of a mess. a testament to the experimental nature of coil i suppose.

some of the early Nocturnal Emission stuff fits perfectly into the whole 'minimal-wave' resurgance. Nigel also did some really experimental noisy stuff, but i'm resdiscovering a lot of very poppy electronic music like this
