is this a legitimate genre title (as far as that goes?)

got some iszoloscope and it's called rhythmic noise

is that just some made-up term/does it have cachet?

doesn't seem worth worrying about, especially when considering definitions of noise and rhythm. Just about anything can be called rhythmic noise depending on who's listening.
