Guest Coalbucket PI
I think it would take longer than 5 years to get this all sorted out Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/55817-japanese-robot-to-the-moon/#findComment-1311551 Share on other sites
Dementia
If they actually did send a Gundam, I could forgive them for incestuous humanoid insect porn and tentacle rape. Guest bigs
guys, we've already sent robots to fuckin' mars. it seems really impractical to send humanoid robots anywhere. i've yet to see a bipedal robot that didn't walk like a disabled war vet (only, half as fast and struggling to walk on uneven surfaces). data
in this case i don't really care about scientific progress or whatever results this may bring, i just wanna see a robot walk on the moon, no more, no less. Guest theSun
i think that there are clearly more efficient ways to design a robot (other than mars landers, etc), but just going to human-like doesn't make it work better. they will need to be really creative and smart in their design because i'm sure they know as well as anyone that no repairman can make it to the moon. Salvatorin
the robots should use the locomotive models used in strandbeest Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide Salvatorin's signature Hide all signatures Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/55817-japanese-robot-to-the-moon/#findComment-1311693 Share on other sites
Guest Rambo
I like the idea of really glamourous, well dressed robots in fabulous make up being sent to the moon. To the detriment of the practical side of the mission if need be. Guest Rambo
that's all well and good and yes, it does navigate unpredictable terrain extremely well but where is the va va voom? The swagger?
