Time Machines II

Sleazy recently posted an update on his new website Sacred Profane letting everyone know that despite the recent troubles in Thailand he's doing fine and hasn't experience any trouble in his area. Aside from this he mentions that he's commissioning "various lone inventors, military technicians, circuit bending specialists, cabinet makers, and antiquarians, dotted around obscure corners of the globe" to make him unique equipment with which to record a second Time Machines album.

Most Coil fans here would remember that they mentioned several times that they would be issuing a boxed set of up to four hours of material (in one interview Jhonn said he would like to issue an entire day's worth) but this never ended up happening. Sleaz makes no mention of this but does say that he's yet to consider exactly what he'll call this since it will use technology that wasn't around at the time of the original recordings.

Pretty good news for us Coil nuts, especially for peeps like Robbie who don't appreciate Jhonn's lunatic ravings taking such prominence over Sleazy's sound art

yeah I was really psyched to hear about this. but seeing as he's still putting the finishing touches on color sound oblivion, who knows when we'll see it. i remember him mentioning an expanded reissue of moons milk as well. one thing at a time I guess..

moons milks is one of my least favorite coil releases

but it has the one of the best packages (the 2cd version)

It's hit and miss for me. but the bonus track 'the coppice meat' is amazing. really just a fantastic drone/spoken word piece.

pretty excited about this, my friend and i listened to Time Machines pt 1 on vinyl yesterday while we got zonged. goddam we were SOOOO zonged

id love to have time machines on vinyl. probably goes for the price of a house on ebay..

yeah i'm really jealous of his copy, in fact he has copies of basically all of my favorite Coil albums from that era on vinyl . I've considered knocking him out and just running far away with this copy of Black Light District & Worship the Glitch 10"

I can't believe I passed up buying worship the glitch on 10" on ebay for 20 dollars. That's a fantastic album.

The guy was also selling a copy with a black and white cover for ten dollars more

pHILM has the same cover as Worship but is b+w, was probably that. Damn good EP, comes with a truly horrid poster tho

I believe that poster is also the cover for the 'protection' ep. it's the same tracklsting as philm but with the track 'protection' added. I love the philm ep but that cover and the extra track leave something to be desired, for sure. strange because philm is such a solid ep...

Acually never mind. I just checked and the tracklistings are pretty different.
