for some reason I thought of that Mr Show episode where they massage a baby and they pushed really hard to get this one scene of a baby at a spa getting a massage like delayed the show 3 years until they could film that one bit of footage

Just think how furious our lean muscular ancestors with their primitive weapons would be if they saw that. Biggest slap in the face ever. It's like the antithesis to the archetypical hunter-gatherer.

Lean, dedicated, athletic hunter gatherer, where every meal is a true acheivement Vs fatass with an incredibly lethal weapon. Point. Shoot. Collect carcass.

Perhaps they would see success. Ease of kill with far less calories expended. This is progress. They'd all want one.
