you, know that prick with the fancy frame glasses, with a bald spot, sitting in starbucks in front of his laptop having hiphop debates with other assholes like him? what does he consider in his "modest" opinion good enough to make his playlist? (this thread could also be titled "Alzado's favorite rappers")

Q-Tip

Mos Def

Edan

Jurassic 5 (but not that album the did without cut chemist)

Sugar Hill Gang (just because he's an asshole)

"some" Jay-z

Clipse

De La Soul

Snoop Dogg (chalks it up first to being a "guilty pleasure", but then delivers a heartfelt opinion about the unrivaled suave of snoop's low key "flow")

man i hate these types of guys

I love all the UK guys cos they're pushing it forward way more than the US guys, trying different stuff on pretty much every track.

Hip hop in the States has seen very little innovation since the early '90s. People have mostly just settled into a comfort zone flow wise and beat wise.

I also like guys who are just straight up nuts and living in their own world

this probably :

The artist for the above album cover created artwork for Fresh Jive clothing. The raps are also friendly enough.

Advanced nerds might have dug up Saafir's first album "Boxcar Sessions" which is as underground as a krylon can because it is a real trainwreck.

Del is a very good name for the list. Probably throw in all 4 Souls of Mischief for a dollar. Coffee-glasses probably used to skateboard to Hiero beats back in 1993.

Some US hip hop has been evolving constantly, look to Stones Throw Records for an example (which would fall under this playlist, btw haha)
