I love when the old Looney Toons cartoon showed 90's as a Futurama-type of civilization with flying cars and shit.

People had big expectations for us , sorry.

Some of the medical predictions aren't terribly wrong, they're just a tad optimistic. Like curing cancer with a virus delivered vaccine, isn't that currently on the bleeding edge of medical research? Anyways, interesting stuff.

It's useful to take these predictions and place it on our own predictions for more accurate predictioning.

edit: the pic in the first article would be scarily accurate if the date was 2001 and the spaceship thing was a passenger jet and the tractor was mowing over a field of human skulls
