sleep deprivation/sleep disorders hallucinations

Recommended Posts

They are back (I haven't had an episode in 6 months)

.. It all started in my ride from work (2 am ) , i passed through a train station and there i saw a ghostly face looking at me .

Got home , took a shower , as soon as the water started pouring i heard all sorts on people talking and screaming , i was totally freaking out , i also heard dogs barking people moving furniture.

Went to bed all freaked out , as i was falling asleep i started having thoughts that i was being possessed by a demon.

Finally felt asleep after 2 hours of me thinking i was possessed , woke up half an hour later , only too find my self in a bed full of giants bugs.

All of this because i have only slept 8 hours this week.

Moral of the story: sleep deprivation is shit.

P.S - as a result , i have been having anxiety attacks all day long.

jesus get some sleep dude. I went 30 hours one time with no sleep and that was too much to handle.

I haven't had a proper 8-hour sleep since 2003.

The worst part is that i haven't even try to treat my sleep disorders , so is all my fault really ,for being a lazy fuck.

I tried some of those , but the problem is that as soon as i fall asleep those voices become something else , like demons and shit , i have to wake up or suffer the consequences of a horrible nightmare.

I don't beleive in demons man , but as soon as i fall asleep i can't "think rationally" anymore , my brain makes stuff up and i have to beleive it.

8 hours for a whole week is really fucked up man. of course you're going to hallucinate, it's sort of fun in a sick way though

i too have experienced this in a way - i've never had outright hallucinations though. like one time i was out at night going on 48 hours without sleep and i could swear that these advertising corporations were transmitting shit into my brain. it was scary as hell, but it was interesting too, looking back on it. psychosis yo!

there were a few other times that were way worse, one time the tv set was telling me to kill my friend, another time i thought i was communicating telepathically with the girl asleep on the bunk below me. fucked up. very.

uppers;

^ I agree and disagree.

Some can be fun (once in a while maybe) - when i was a kid i held colorful holographic geometry shapes in my hand (that was a good one)

But most of the time feels like Freddy Kruger invaded my mind.

No you don't mate , and that is the worst part of it.

When i am on drug induce hallucinations (NOt Dph) i can snap out of it easily.

Try the DPH high if you want to experience what i experience.

it seems like there are a lot of mentally ill people who use this forum, lol

not a bad thing at all, just saying

i used to get those all the time. i haven't had one in over a year. i remember one time i was getting sleep paralysis and instead of trying to wake myself up, i said "fuck it!" and just laid there getting all paralized n' sheeit!

i recall boxing day posting about:

- how can i stay awake for my graveyard shift without energy drinks and cocaine? i suggested sudafed

- caning mkat

- etc.

if he wants to sleep, he needs to lay off the stimulants.

edit: or poop on the demons. they hate that

Boxing Day - I know you're saying you don't want to become an addict...what kind of drugs do you use regularly, if any?

It would seem like benzodiazepines would be best in your situation; besides enabling you to/putting you to sleep, they'd take the anxiety and horror associated with what you're experiencing away (although if you're as drug-experienced as you seem to be, I'm guessing you know what they're about?).

I would think that just breaking the cycle, meaning taking Valium or Klonopin one night just to get some serious, much-needed sleep (not every night, so your body and mind can't sleep without it), would at least get you to the point where you realize you can sleep, even if it requires some assistance...

I wouldn't recommend Ativan as it's very short acting. Talk to me, man. This is interesting and I'm sorry. I've had, of my own fault, only vaguely similar situations as of late...

If you want just PM me too.

I would recommend benzos too. The addiction, well i don't think it's really a risk if you don't over-do it, stick to the dose the good doctor has prescribed. Though this is Boxing Day we're talking about so i'm not sure if this'll work..

Zolpidem (Ambien) has helped some people but it didn't work for me; instead i started taking it recreationally and became an ass.
