I suppose you're right. When you take into account the fact that films like this are just as in your face.

Seems like a cheap shot though, the films have a formula which no one changes because it's what people like and it sells.

Thank you for posting that Shining recut. Pitch-perfect romantic comedy trailer, note for note. One can argue that it is a paint-by-numbers exercise but one really has to understand the inner-workings of an effective trailer to pull that off. Especially considering the tonal shift. Editing, sound, music, etc. Genius.
