Watership Down - Plague Dogs - Trauma

Someone brought up Watership Down as being the most IDM film ever made...I disagree, but Watership Down did have a severe impact on me as a child. I'm pretty sure I only saw it once, but the impression was major. I just remember the starkness, the blood...

Anyway, I was looking on youtube last night, watching some of Watership Down to remember, and came across a movie called Plague Dogs, also directed by Martin Rosen (the guy who did Watership Down)...Plague Dogs was another part in the same series as Watership Down, I guess. This is a scene from the movie:

I guess this Martin Rosen guy just didn't give a fuck about kids, or something...he won awards for Watership Down.

But anyway, in related searches, I found a site called "kindertrauma," which goes over all the things that may have traumatized and damaged your mind as a child. I think it's a great idea for a site.

Tell me what you think.

My mother made me watch Plague Dogs after i threw stones at a dog.

Now i am the most animal lover pro-animal right person that exists.

I HOPE THIS MATCH NEVER ENDS - 245017.jpg

I tried watching Plague Dogs last year but I was already depressed and I couldn't finish it without risking taking a toaster to the tub.

That kind of stuff typically didn't bother me when I was 6.. this disturbed the crap out of me though (no pun intended)

Just something about a giant, nonstop flatulating swamp grossed me out on a very deep level. It would be many years before I would be able to appreciate this film

I was thinking about this earlier and I realized that the director isn't to blame. Who's saying he was making the movie for kids? Watership Down certainly isn't for kids, and I can't imagine any other books in the series are either...

Anyway, just because the movie is animated (and has rabbits) I'm assuming it's for kids, which is stupid. Akira is not for kids.

I remember being a child and getting this out of the children's movie section. So if anyone is to blame, I guess it's the people who classified the movie as "for children"...

I'm blaming way too many people and need to stop.
