Software to split mp3 file

Hey there,

I have an mp3 file and the respective tracklist which i want to split into the various tracks. I need a program that lets me choose at which time to cut, if you get what i mean.

It's a little fiddly and has one of the most unuser friendly interfaces around but I highly recommend mp3splt ( http://mp3splt.sourceforge.net/mp3splt_page/home.php ).

It splits the files, and more importantly it does it without transcoding them....

Record the mp3 file onto a cassette tape, record cassette tape onto your computer using windows recorder but now press stop every time you want to create a new file, save file. Repeat until done.

Use Sound Forge - Open the file - Add markers (Basically create regions)

There's an option for exporting regions as individual files.

pro tools is the best for this requested functions

I did that exact same thing, but on audacity.

If you don't need pro results you can even use Windows movie maker lol. I used Nero burning rom's studio a couple of times too.

I thought about movie maker, but windows 7 doesn't have it. At least my version doesn't.

So i guess i did not search properly. Mine is Ultimate, so it must have movie maker.
