solving the jumble.

Just wondering how long it takes the average person to do this.

If you don't know what a jumble is, it's a bunch of scrambled letters, you just unscramble them to get the right word.

Here's one from today's paper. There's four words. Go:

So, how long did that take you?

about 20-30 seconds.

the first one took me the longest.

about 2 minutes. Got stuck on the last one.

about a minute and a half. got stuck on the 2nd one.

isn't there usually some circled letters and then a final clue/image to get too?

Only in the good papers like the SF Chronicle.

After about 2 minutes I gave up, I only got the first one. I had a few beers and its not helping

like 15 seconds, got em all.

I timed myself with a stopwatch. I got the first three pretty quickly, but it was 1:10 when I finally concluded that "sheaf" was the answer to the second one, even though I had never heard that word before.

wtf is a sheaf?

Something to do with plants I believe.

yeah, sheaf is definitely outside my lexicon. i think i only know "faggot" to mean a bundle of sticks because of its other usage anyway.
