Practically basless speculation

Recommended Posts

So, there is a regular at my coffee shop that works for googles marketing division, specifically in the mobile/droid division.

He came in this morning, and just said "google will be in the news today". I asked what he meant, and he just gave a big smile and left.

My guess? The rumored google tablet will be announced.

What am I basing this on? Just the size of his smile...

You heard it here first!

yeah look the have this conference today called I/O which might be what your friend was referring to, here's a liveblog if this turns you on: http://www.engadget.com/2010/05/20/live-from-the-google-i-o-2010-day-2-keynote/

they announced Google TV among other things, but nothing too spectacular yet.

Jesus Fucking Christ of Fucking Nazareth , Google is trying to dominate every fucking market , they will go bankrupt if they don't stop spending on shit that will fail miserably.

People that work at Microsoft. Because they have to.

Unless they are at home. :whistling:

This thing seems like it's mostly for finding web content (ie shit quality vids) rather than good quality stuff like you'd get from Netflix, Hulu, individual channel sites, etc. But maybe it includes all that. They have a Netflix screenshot in that fid...are they buying Netflix?

Bing is a great way to find a "different" view than Google Maps, especially with the 4-side axonometrical photos they have. Lots of use in landscape architecture :whistling:

*** This announcement is brought to you by the Shimago-Dominguez Corporation

*** helping America into the New World...

i can barely run google wave on my dual-core w/ a gig of memory, and when it doesn't crash my machine, it steals so much juice that i can't multitask without a great deal of frustration. i can't even browse watmm if i'm waving. wtf, google?

yep, same. it's really buggy and leaky.

also, wave = bits of facebook/twitter + email + im.

but we already have facebook, twitter, email, and im.
