Extract Audio From DVD

What is the best program for sampling audio from a dvd?

I was using audio hijack before, but I'm running windows now, and audio hijack seems like it is only for macs.

I found a bunch of options from google searches, but I figured I'd ask the watmm wealth of knowledge before downloading loads of little programs and trying them all.

Audio Wizard - or pretty much any other audio recording software that has a "Record-what-I-hear"-function.

Preferably I'd like it to be free.

Okay. The problem is I can't get it to record what my computer is playing.

When I go to edit/preferences, it gives me two options for recording devices. Both of them appear to be the built in microphone on my computer.

When I go to the sound preferences on my computer, to try to enable my sound card to be a device to record from, it doesn't show up.

The only solution I can think of is to run a wire from the audio output to the audio input. But that is less than ideal.
