halisray
for all those who use a mac, what internet browser do you use? I am curious because I've always used Safari and I am wondering if there is better out there! For Macs that is. Guest Coalbucket PI
Ive used firefox for ages because the addons are helpful. I tried Chrome for a while and really liked it, but they still haven't taken it out of beta for mac so there are no addons and a few things still fuck up... may go back to Chrome if they ever develop it for mac Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/56565-mac-browsers/#findComment-1333080 Share on other sites
baph
I use Safari for general browsing, but I keep Firefox around for when I need it. Firefox on OS X still sucks up memory like a black hole, which is why I don't use it as a default. chenGOD
firefox 3.6 - works like a charm. Yeah it uses more memory than Safari, but it feels more comfortable for me. Plus I still don't like how Safari refuses to display information on links when you mouse over. Memory isn't an issue though, cause even with my paltry 2 GB of RAM, firefox is using 200 MB. Plus there are a lot of brilliant add-ons for firefox. Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide all signatures 백호야~~~항상에 사랑할거예요.나의 아들. Easily the most streamlined, attractive, fast and stable browser I've used, on both windows and mac. Syncs all your cookies, history, bookmarks to any computer you install chrome on. great tab management. good extensions. google search built into the address bar. Near-perfect browser. Incognito mode @ ChenGod it's a good feature because you have total control over what you sync. it's easy to go into incognito mode to hide the naughty shit you look at, and the history uses google search so its very easy to find what you want to delete manually. Also, the point of syncing all your settings is for convenience. It's great to bookmark sites at work and still have them boomarked when you get home. Firefox has a fine boomark sync extension, too, but chrome's is totally transparent and works very well, IMO. Saving cookies/login info is great if you frequently go to sites that require registration. To be honest, if you're porning it up so freaking much, Chrome is good for you, because incognito mode is a very fast and easy way to literally go into "porn mode", to hide your activity without fucking with your existing history. I think you're misunderstanding what I'm saying. When I mouse over a link in firefox (that is hold the mouse cursor over a link) Firefox displays what site it links to, in the bottom left of the browser window. Since I have my javascript preferences set to not allow websites to change status bar text, this allows me an added measure of security. No tab switch necessary (also tab switches are very fast with mouse gestures...;)) Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide all signatures 백호야~~~항상에 사랑할거예요.나의 아들.
