awepittance
I've been trying for the past couple of days to utilize kontakt a little better on my Mac. I've run into a problem that i can't find a work around for. When i load Kontakt 16out mode i try to turn on/activate all of the available outputs use it in a multi channel fashion. What happens is when i activate all of them i still only have access to 'stereo 1' and 'stereo 2' as an option for output on my kontakt instruments. I have 3 other 'aux' busses in my activated outputs (shows up on my mixer) but i have no way of turning these into normal available outputs like 'stereo 3' or 'stereo 4'. Since thy are 'aux' outputs kontakt doesn't let me assign a machine to go through them (only stereo 1 & 2) Anybody have any clue what im doing wrong? I watched a youtube tutorial on how to do it but after following it i still cant get it working. Brandi_B
When I open the kontakt multi all the channels are automatically loaded into my mixer in 5. Same with when I was using sx 3. Perhaps it's a settings thing, b/c I recall using kontakt on someone elses machine and it doing something similar but it wasn't in cubase. pylonbitch
i use sx3, and same as brandi here, kontakt automatically loads the multi outs into the mixer. simple matter of setting the outs of individual patches and you're away. Guest csl
You might have to manually match up Kontakt's outputs with your hosts. It's a pain in the arse, but you only have to do this once. Delete the current output channels in Kontakt, then add 8 stereo channels, label them properly (st. 1, 2 etc.) and assign successive stereo outputs (they'll probably have unintuitive names like aux 1, 2 etc.) with the host. Finally click on save as default, to avoid having to go through this again.
