Ultimate ae album poll

ok, I know there have been threads about fav albums, tracks, etc... but never in one place! It's always interesting for me to see other fan's favorites and to re-listen to them with a different mindset.

The poll covers favorite tracks on each album, favorite album openers & closers & fav/least fav album overall. You can answer all the questions or just whatever ones you want... cause I know it's impossible to choose sometimes.

Anyways, I thought it'd be interesting while we're waiting for Move of Ten to drop...

most of albums have a nice spread of favorite tracks so far... except Draft. I need to give surripere another listen

It's up against some stiff competition. Nuane, reniform, Drane2, Yuop..

I don't think any music I'll listen to from now till the day I die will come close to matching [the gargantuan enveloping monstrosity of] Pro Radii.

If EP7 was included I'd have picked Pir as best closer.

Nice poll, I voted Chiastic for fav, incunab for least fav (although I still love it dearly), and Cipater and Nuane for opener/closer. Chiastic slide has the best narrative imho. Oversteps might replace that for me but it hasn't been long enough yet for me to decide.

This would have been easier if it had been EPs. The EPs are both more cohesive (if mood-dependent) and more relaxed/confident, even EP7. The one thing I'm really pleased about in 2010 Autechreville is the return of the EP.

I think for me the reason doing these was hard is that "best" track has so many different meanings within the albums. There's the track that stands out the best on its own, which doesn't mean much to me because I almost always listen to the whole album. And then within context, there's the one that just nails it because it's in the perfect place on the album, there's the one that really exemplifies the vibe of the album, the odd one that doesn't quite fit the flow but perfectly complements the rest of the album (I picked a few of these) and without which the album would feel completely different, then the that I just really love for no particular reason.

Had the most trouble with Draft and Quaristice, because the middle of Draft is so awesome and I love a bunch of other stuff on Quaristice but I knew Theswere wasn't going to get enough love - would've picked plyPhon, the Plc, or Outh9x otherwise.

Also my fave AE album oscillates between Chiastic, Draft, and Quaristice. But Chiastic definitely has the best face and ass.
