I'm definitely cheering for the Hawks. They haven't won a cup in a very very long time.

i didn't see this topic. glad the hawks are in the finals again after a long trek in the dark. still i am afraid the flyers will take it in 6 or 7. i hate chris pronger, that big man-baby who plays with his own rules. if it would be any other opponent than the flyers, i would be ok with them winning but fuck, it had to be these cheapshot artists lead by pronger. rrraaaaaargh.

still go hawks! take it in game 4 and finish it at home in the UC.

I always associated the Hawks' lead to encey's epic "playoff beard" (he's from Chicago if I'm not wrong).

i'm pretty sure hossa would be needed to put on suicide watch if he lost for a third straight time in the final with his third team.

the hawks PP has been atrocious and they just don't seem to be as sharp as before in the playoffs. i refuse to believe that the flyers are that much better than the sharks, which the hawks swept, although the games were closer than the series result would indicate. it also doesn't help that the officiating has been beyond shit. flyers and especially pronger can get away with shit the hawks immediately get called for. no penalties in game 1 for the flyers, really? and i refuse to believe that pronger is the savvy veteran who knows how to play on the edge, fuck that, he's a dirty piece of shit and deserves to get his goofy fucking grin smashed the fuck in.

hockey is serious business.

what's so spineless in wanting to win? he gets traded to the pens as a rent-a-player for their cup run. loses in the final. is a free agent and signs a one-year deal with detroit the reigning champion and loses again in the finals against his former team. something that simply must have felt awful. finally signs a long-term deal with a young budding blackhawks team, since detroit simply couldn't make the salaries work under the salary cap, and finds himself again in the finals which he finally wins. i was really happy for the guy when he hoisted the cup. third time is a charm.

it's fucking awesome, i've been rooting for this team since 95 and followed them through some atrocious teams and they finally did it!

yeah, losing to the champs somehow makes it feel a little better. seriously, your canucks will one day do it, just make someone else captain for your team than luongo, he just needs to focus on stopping pucks and nothing else. it was a horrible idea to make him captain.

i am sure we can all rejoice that the maple laughs now have cemented themselves as the most futile franchise in the NHL. 42 seasons since a win and even a finals appearance.
